Because the Suzuki Institute is designed to be an intense experience, participants are encouraged to stay in on-campus facilities or the nearby Club House Inn and Suites.

Dining During the Week

While this year we do not offer a pre-paid meal plan, participants will have the freedom to dine on or off campus on a pay-as-you-go basis. There are several dining options to choose from on campus. La Posada Dining Hall, located conveniently next to residence halls, provides breakfast, lunch and dinner each day during the Institute. And the Student Union Building has a Food Court with several dining establishments to choose from. There are many restaurant establishments within walking distance of the University, where you’ll find a variety of fares, from fast-food (hamburgers, pizza) to international cuisine (Italian, Greek, Japanese) to, of course, our world-famous New Mexico chili.

Parking

Permits are always required to park on campus. The parking lots in the Residence Hall area available for purchase to all Institute participants are “D,” “E” and “R” zones. Please indicate on the Payment Form if you need a parking permit. Weekly permit $30.

Commuting Students

The Suzuki Institute is an intense experience. Classes may begin as early as 8:30 am and the schedule may not end until 6:00 pm excluding evening concerts and performances. We highly recommend that you make the activities of the Institute your priority for the week.
